Time Within the Signs is the first group show at THEPÒSITO Art, the exhibition brings together the works of three artists - Erica Ferraroni, Laura Santamaria and Meri Tancredi - in a dialogue that explores Time and Cosmos reinterpreting the oracular figure. The project focuses on the concept whereby the artist’s role in the society is as similar as the one of a contemporary oracle, capable of transforming the perception of the world into a language that escapes linearity and certainty, placing us before a deep reflection on the relationship between time, reality and imagination.

The artist becomes an interpreter of time that passes, not a narrator who offers answers, but an observer who translates flows, fragments and sensations into signs that require decipherment. Their

Erica Ferraroni

(b. 1984, Sassuolo - Italy)

She lives and works between Austria and Italy; specialized in minimalist Still Life photography. Her journey began in Florence and Milan, studying art and photography. After spending over seven years in Los Angeles developing her own voice she is currently working and living between Mallorca, Italy and Austria. Her work revolves around finding unexpected beauty in everyday things and transforming them into minimal poetry. She possesses a natural dislike for the unnecessary. Also for wasting energy on the obvious. She follows her sensibility for beauty and is working purely with natural light to make space for the unpredictable to happen.

Laura Santamaria

(b. 1976, Monza - Italy)

She lives and works between Como and Milan; graduated from Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and later specialized from the Loughborough University School of Art and Design. Her artistic research is focused on the use of pure matter, fire, pigments or crystals, to which she approaches with method, starting from a thorough study at a cognitive level and further following an individual artistic process, always highly experimental. Her site-specific projects and sculptures often present the viewer a parallelism between the micro and macro cosmos, thus reflecting on systems and processes of interconnectivity.

Meri Tancredi

(b. 1976, L’Aquila - Italy)

She lives and works in Perugia; in her peregrinations she explores the relationship between language, space, matter and perception. The artist research focuses on the relationship between language, space, matter and perception. Questioning her own unconscious universe to relate it with a collective Time and coagulating her own reflections into semantic traces, sometimes precise and rigorous, other times labile and twisted anthropological and anthropic metaphors.
